I know there had to have been more to our first few conversations as we sat in North Central College’s Freshmen NCC 101 class, but these are the bits that are sealed in my mind forever:
“You were in ‘The King and I’ in high school?!? I was in ‘The King and I’ in high school!!”
“You love ‘The Sound of Music’?!? I love ‘The Sound of Music’!!
And that’s how it started…a friendship that would be a big, wonderful part of my life for the next 28 years! My friend Brooke is a blessing – the most loyal, caring friend I could ever ask for. Our lives have changed over the years, of course, but her friendship has remained and I appreciate it so much.
It was an honor for me to photograph her family this past weekend in a beautiful spot in Joliet. Her husband Eric’s mom, dad and sister joined in the fun too! What an awesome family!! 💕
