We often think we need a beautiful location for a photo session. The location is important, of course, as well as the time of day you’re shooting at – but sometimes, it’s surprising how a not-so-picturesque location can look just lovely in photos! Take this back alley, for example:
At first glance, it’s not the prettiest spot for a photo session, but those fences looked interesting and the light was good. So…I thought I’d get the kids into this alley for a few minutes so I could take some quick shots. Keeping the depth of field shallow helps blur out anything looking too ‘messy’ in the background, so that’s nice. I’m really happy with how these photos turned out!!
