Downtown Frankfort is quite the festive place during the holiday season! While Christmas music filled the air, busy shoppers walked from store to store and a big bonfire warmed cold fingers in the middle of Breidert Green. It was pretty nice! I'm catching up on my blog posts today! As I look back on my calendar from October and November, I'm happy to report that fall 2018 was the busiest fall ever for Three Sparrows Photography! I'm so thankful to all the families that I've had the privilege of photographing this year...I've loved meeting and hanging out with each and every one of them! Oh, October...one day you're freezing cold with gusty winds and flurries. And on other days...you're beautiful, warm and golden! I'm thankful that the photo session for the Modder family took place on the latter. I couldn't have asked for a more lovely afternoon for taking pictures of this beautiful family!! It's always exciting to try out a new place for photos (new to me, anyway 😉). I love when places look like they're so secluded and far away from the world...while they're actually just off a busy street! To me, some of the photos below look like we traveled to old ruins in a far-off jungle, but in actuality, frisbee golf enthusiasts are playing nearby while other park visitors (and other photographers) are milling about just doing their thing on a nice Sunday afternoon. What a weekend our family had! Friday night, my husband and I played shuffleboard in Chicago for the first time while our kids stayed with Nana (Shuffleboard was really fun!). We got home later than we had anticipated, so the kids and I were a bit tired for a Junior Bible Quiz meet we had early Saturday out in Naperville, but we were fine. I was very proud of our JBQ team and how it did overall. I love JBQ (and Teen Bible Quiz) and am so happy my kids are involved in it at our church. So - after church yes[...]
I always love seeing my old friends and neighbors, the Xenidis Family! When my family lived in Frankfort, our driveway was was right across the street from theirs, so we had many opportunities to just visit with each other and chat as the kids played. I miss that, so I'm thankful I still get to see them each year for family photos!! Their beautiful kids are growing up so quickly...[...]

There was a girl I knew years ago who was in the youth group at Calvary Church in Naperville. I was one of the youth leaders there at the time and she was in my group. We became friends and had lots of fun talking, singing together, riding around in my jeep, and just hanging out.
