The summer season kicked off very nicely last weekend with a photo session for family friends from our church - the awesome Muchowicz family! :-) I was excited to photograph not only them - but some of their extended family as well, including Kristen's grandma - who turns 99 this year! As one who has only had fake Christmas trees all her life, I was really excited about the location chosen for a photo session yesterday!! The Jacksons suggested doing their session at a Christmas Tree Farm, which is, simply, a place I'd never been to, anywhere! It's been a while since I've made updates to the blog...but there's a good reason! I've actually been super busy trying to switch my website over to a new format, and, with no knowledge of Wordpress, I've been slowly chipping away at this task viewing tutorials and reading lots of instructions....but, with most of the changes made now, I really like how things look! We certainly have enjoyed a beautiful fall this year! I'm thankful that the pretty colors have lasted as long as they have...though I can tell that things look a bit more brown now (sigh). Everything still looks beautiful though, and it was so nice to meet the Gorczowski family in downtown Frankfort for a fall photo session! It was awesome to see our old neighbors for a photo session the other day...AND meet their newest little boy! What a little doll. I remember when they had no kids!! Now - it's beautiful to see how this family has grown. When we get together with our families for birthday parties or summer BBQs, things are often really busy and we don't think - or get the chance - to get everyone gathered together for a good family picture...one that includes everyone - grandparents, their kids and the grand kids. It was so nice to see and catch up with the Raatjes family a couple of days ago! We met at lovely Pilcher Park in Joliet. Though it felt like near 100% humidity that evening and there were mosquitoes biting us at every moment, it was a great spot to both catch up with these old friends and take some family pictures!
