May’s been a kind of dreary month so far, which is a bummer. Still, this past Sunday was quite lovely and perfect for an engagement session with an adorable couple…Martina and Nathan.
I met them a few weeks ago at our church right after the service ended. I still can’t believe what happened…they came up to me and asked me to be their wedding photographer. They saw me take a photo of a baby sitting a few rows ahead of me, but that’s it. They didn’t know me – and didn’t know (at that particular moment) that I even had a photography business!! Martina just said that she felt in her heart that I was supposed to be their photographer. Isn’t that crazy (and awesome and wonderful)?!?!? I gave her my card so we could discuss further. Anyway, long story short, I’ll be photographing their wedding in a couple of weeks!! I am so excited and thankful for this opportunity.
I love God and the exciting, awesome ways he works. If I had tried to put it out there that I wanted to try my hand at wedding photography, this is what I’d hear…**crickets**. Still, God knows that I desire so much for Him to guide and direct my steps. He has not failed me once and he brings me opportunities that are far better than I could ever try to dream up on my own. This is just another example.
Anyway – back to the engagement session!! I had a great time with Martina and Nathan…they really are so sweet and loving to each other.
