Standard vs. Mounted Prints…what’s the difference?

I really love printing my photos and I LOVE having them displayed on my walls at home.  They’re snapshots of my life…my childhood, friends, family, my wedding, my kids…everything I have loved about my life.  How could they not make me smile whenever I walk by them?

Because I love prints so much, I want it to be easy for you to get your family photos displayed around your home too!  So, after your family pictures are taken and you get the link to your gallery, you can order prints without leaving the site…super easy!  In fact, you get a $50 print credit as part of any one-hour photo session.  And, you’ll be happy to know, the prints you get through the gallery site are printed at a professional photo lab, so the quality is excellent.

I offer a few standard prints (gift prints in smaller sizes), but you’ll notice that I also offer mounted prints. What are mounted prints you ask?  Let me tell you!

Mounted prints are photos mounted onto either matboard or styrene, so they’re thick and strong.  And, when framed (especially in the case for large size prints), they won’t bend, warp or dimple under glass.  Personally, I just love how they feel.  Here are some pics to give you a better idea…the photos below are from my last family portrait session.  The pretty gold frame in the photo is the ‘Hawthorne Gold’…one of the nine frame styles you can choose from when you purchase a frame collection for your home.

I have samples of the frames ready for you to see if you’d like – as well as a couple of mounted prints – so you can see and feel the difference for yourself.  After just offering digital downloads for the last couple of years, I am really proud of the products I’m now able to offer to my clients.

Ready to schedule a portrait session?  Please email me at [email protected] to get the ball rolling!
