Well hello and…Happy 2019!! Life’s been quite busy as we’ve started the new year, but it’s been good start…and I’m excited for the new year and what it will bring.
That said, let’s rewind for a moment to see how 2018 ended! My last family session of 2018 actually took place Christmas Eve, and was a last-minute request from Katie Stellwagen who wanted to get photos of her whole family taken while she was in town from out of state. What was particularly interesting about this family – the Stellwagens – was that their family’s farm is actually a historical site in Orland Park! It’s situated near 179th and Wolf Road and was once a working dairy farm. It’s now beautifully restored and used to help educate people about farm life. As many times as I drive on 179th Street toward Orland, I never realized that there was a beautiful farm just a short distance away from a busy strip mall, grocery store and McDonald’s! I guess I should explore a bit more.
Anyway – the Stellwagen’s family session was great fun and meeting them was an awesome way to end my year!
